Hi guys.

Crook hall is not a place you can stay overnight but i did wonder if you explained that you were an paranormal group etc if they would let you do an investigation.
I told them ( sent email ) about the photo i took but got no reply.
i guess there would be nothing to stop you going and taking photos though.

I think a beliver is someone who belives in the paranormal without any doubts but thats just my opinion.

I did ring the owner of Crook Hall, about 5 years ago, asking to do a vigil there, but she didn't want to do it, said it was only open for visits in summer. Maybe she'll change her mind some day.

Interesting comment there, and topic, about believers etc. I think you are right that there are "believers" who don't question at all, but in my view these are gullible, and just as bad as the dedicated sceptic who refuses to ever believe and is just as prejudiced. Both of these types are not useful as investigators as they are not investigating, or ie looking to find out - they already know. I think if someone is really investigating, he has to look, perceive, uses his senses and look at all the data before him logically, then decide. And be willing to change his mind or admit to correction.

I'm a "believer" in the paranormal in general, as I have experienced enough to decide and be convinced, but I certainly don't believe every story that I'm told, as I some know people make mistakes, or don't look at every aspect, or some just fake things or jump to conclusions.
But, seen enough that are very convincing too, and I believe are deformed paranormal.

Personally, I think being either "believer" or "sceptic" is a bit unhelpful betters to be somewhere in between, just look and see. :)

Hi.

Yes, i am a beliver but i always look for rational expenations first.
I truely belive that ghosts exist and they are among us and i also
belive that maybe some of us are more able to see them than others
somehow.

But i agree its best not to belive everything is paranormal and look for
a rational explanation first.

Hi jerry
A belated but warm welcome
I posted a story on here somewhere about a haunted wooden box
I kept hearing a strange noise, threw the box out and then realised the noise was from my kindle fire...!!
I'm so used to unexplained events I jumped to the wrong conclusion
Regards
Roger

Just have to also say, that Roger has also had some really brilliant paranormal experiences too, or I can't see otherwise. Just goes to show how we get a real mixture, the normal explanation ones like the Kindle, and the not normal ones. :) Both can sometimes be confounding

Hi Roger.

Thanks for the welcome.
I liked your kindle story.

I once had an experience where i heard a noise that frightened me whislt
on a vigil, it turned out to be a carrier bag that had got caught in a fence.
