Hi Tasha.

You have to watch out for that Nessie, he always sneaks upon you
when you are not looking lol.

The Isle of Skye is another favourite, very nice scenery and Pprtree
is a nice little town.

My Wife and i are planning our next trip, we mostly stay in the UK as i can't
fly due to a health issue.

Norththumbria is looking good at moment.

Well, being a Northumbrian I have to agree, highly recommended, there are so many places to go, and as you like castles and haunted places you are in for a treat. ... And the Isle of Skye is one of my favourite places.

Hi jerry1975, GhostInTheMachine,

Yea, the thought of Nessie getting me was more worrying.

Northumberland is very nice, last year we took our neighbour down to visit his mum and pick up a van, we visited Hadrian's Wall on the way back, from the comfort of the Roman Soldier museum, saw the wall in their cinema, in 3D too, how lazy can you get, must admit it was a bit chilly that day.

Hadrian's wall is lovely, but there is a lot more to see. A lovely trip to do is do the Coastal Route, you go up the coast and you go from one castle to the next. Go to Warkworth (fishing village at Amble, or another at Alnmouth), then drive from there to Dunstanburgh Castle (where we did a vigil or two, it's deifnitely haunted). The go from there to Bamburgh (and the castle, also haunted, a very spectacular castle that one!) and then go to Lindisfarne, the castle and ruins of the Abbey are well worth it.

There are other brilliant castles to see too, inland, such as Chillingham, Alnwick, Aydon Castle, Prudhoe, and many others (all haunted). There are also the forests and the great lake of Kielder, and the Cheviot Hills, really spectacular to walk there.

Hi GhostInTheMachine,

Sounds very interesting, I have never really explored Northumberland, but I think we are planning on going off on a travel holiday some time later this year, we have been toying with a few ideas of where to go, I know I love going round castles, especially if they have a haunted reputation, love seeing old ruined castles and buildings too, I find it all so very interesting.

Hi Ghostinthemachine.

It sounds a great place, i hear the wildlife is also good there.
You can't beat a good haunted castle, its very high on the list for places to visit.
